FEET Conference 2026 (Tirana) - Call for papers

March 16, 2026 conference: 2026 - Tirana share this article:

The 2026 FEET conference invites short paper presentations (approximately 20 minute + discussion). Sumissions may follow one of two tracks:

a) Thematic Track

We welcome papers exploring how Christians can think and live faithfully amid rising nationalism, conflict, and political pressure in Europe. Relevant contributions may address themes such as nationhood, identity, allegiance, and Christian responsibility, drawing on biblical studies, history, theology, ethics, or practical ministry.

Proposals may examine how Scripture, Christian tradition, and contemporary realities shape the way believers navigate competing loyalties and respond to moments of crisis. Possible topics include (Christian) pacifism, (military) chaplaincy, and related issues.

b) Open Track

In addition to themerelated papers, we also invite proposals on topics within the broader field of theology. Contributions from all theological disciplines—biblical, historical, systematic, practical, or interdisciplinary—are warmly encouraged.

There will be held paper sessions during the conference, and we believe the papers will complement the main lectures and enrich the conference’s wider conversation. Proposals from all relevant fields are welcome.

To whom: Please, send your paper proposal (at least 150-300 words) to Knut Kåre Kirkholm at kkirkholm@fjellhaug.no.

Deadline: 30 June (also remember to register for the conference before June 30th to get Early Bird Rates).
